RAN to the NFL: RTL will get broadcasting rights from 2023
A big moment of shock went through the rows of German fans in front of the TV screen this September 2022:
ProSieben loses the NFL broadcasting rights to the competition.
On Thursday, September 8th (1st game day of the NFL in 2022), it was announced that the NFL would change its German broadcasting partner on free TV.
The RTL broadcasting group received the approval from the 2023 season for an initial period of 5 years.
And thus replaces the "ran NFL" team from ProSieben/Sat1.
Dear #ranNFL addicts , we promise: We're going to really celebrate our last #ranNFL season with @ProSiebenMAXX and the great @ransport team. Even if we are sad today: we look forward to it. #ranFootball

The commentator team around "Coach" Patrick Esume, Björn Werner, Icke, Roman Motzkus, Carsten Spengemann and Co. had both many die-hard fans ("Football Bromance") and many critics ("Clowns troupe", according to some critics - quotes on Twitter) in the German football fan scene. It is still unclear how the ranNFL team will continue.
